They’ve been sleeping in the same bed since we got home a week ago and it’s made the bedtime/overnight routine so much easier.

Two little loves snuggled up in a hotel bed.

I’m fairly certain she was just pretending to still be asleep here.

She perfected the morning cat nap on the beach on our short vacation. It was really nice to slow down and nurse her to sleep while watching her sister play in the water.

One of my favorite things about babies and sleep is the stretchy poses they often sleep in. It feels like one of the last signs of babyhood that slowly fades away when they become toddlers.

I love watching my babies sleep.

I realized this post never actually published so here it is, a little out of order. Oops. Two little babes, asleep in the car after playing at the children’s museum all morning.

This sweet girl. I so rarely get a chance to capture her sleeping. Before I was pregnant with her sister, she was so close to sleeping solo in her own bed most nights. Then I got pregnant, and getting up in the middle of the night became impossible, and somehow her bed was more comfortable than mine. I think maybe it was my subconscious, realizing I would never get to sleep next to her in quite the same way. But now it’s been nearly two years since I’ve slept next to this girl, with the exception of when both little ladies end up in my bed, and I miss it dearly sometimes.
She’s growing so very rapidly and it makes me miss her even when she’s right next to me. Those chubby little toddler cheeks are long gone. But the girl she’s becoming, the smart, creative and captivating girl, is so wonderful, and so captivating that I love her just as much.

This little stinker has taken to pretending to sleep in her baby bed at bedtime, sometimes for quite a while, before actually going to bed.

While at the store, the baby saw the display of beds and pointed and said “night night”. Both girls proceeded to walk over the the bed, climb up and lie down.
