I’m grateful for this little turkey of mine, this year, as I have been every Thanksgiving since she came into our lives. I am immensely thankful for her health, and her spirit. We celebrated with family today, I made way too much food(seriously people why did I think I needed to make 48 dinner rolls?), and it was just what Thanksgiving should be. She was a little unsure at first, and requested to nurse more then she has in ages, but she did great. I love this season, more and more each year as she grows.

This was her. Still sleeping. At 10:00 this morning. She partied like a rock star until 2am. Thankfully she’s asleep for the night already, on time. She ate dinner on time. And even helped make pie for tomorrow. Screw you cold and your schedule ruining ways, we’ve beat you.

Don’t let that face fool you, miserable is about the only word to describe this kid today. She came down with a horrible cold out of nowhere last night that has hit her like a freight train. We’re desperately hoping she passes it as quickly as she got it and none of the rest of us fall victim to it.

We spent the afternoon in the boonies visiting horses, kitties and celebrating her Grandmas birthday. She watched her uncle splitting wood, fed the horses grass, and even got to take a nap with a few cats. Also she had cake for lunch, so her day was pretty much perfect.
