We spent the afternoon at Yum Yum Fest, the poorly named food festival featuring the best chefs in the city today. It was like an episode of top chef with a sprinkling of hip hop thrown in. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I think this kid may have had the most fun. She devoured the first two dishes I brought her(sausage with polenta and heirloom tomatoes and lamb over fresh pasta). She also demanded all of the coconut foam from our berry cobblers. When we went to watch the music she got DOWN. This kid loves to dance, and apparently loud hip hop is her jam these days. She even got grandma to throw her hands up.

I let her pick out her own tomatoes at the farmers market today, we kept having to buy more because she kept trying to eat them right away.

This was pretty much her expression during our entire walk.

Apparently when I posted my photo last night the post failed and I didn’t realize it. So sadly it didn’t post until today.

I let her “walk” the dog in the basement for a little while. She was quite pleased with herself, and he went along with it even though he clearly did not enjoy it.

Also my focus sucks in low light lately, I think I’m getting old.

Things I’ve realized about living in a different house after 5 years: I knew every single crack and creak of those floors. I knew how to sneak out of this girls room completely silently after putting her to bed. This sweet sleeper is back up because I can’t seem to get out of the room without making a massive amount of noise.
